It's Been Awhile!

Life has been so busy and it's hard to make time for everything.  I'm going to try to get better with my posts.  Here is the latest picture I have of the kids.  It's Evan, who is 5, and Katelyn, who is 3, with their great-grandmother, Lucy, who is 98.  She just moved out here from Texas and is now only 5 miles away.  It's so nice to have her close.  The kids really enjoy getting to see her.  It's been very special.  It gives us a chance to live out the Bible because in James it says, "Religion that is pure and undefiled before God, the Father, is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained from the world."  We're so grateful to be able to help care for Lucy!

Halloween

The kids had a great time on Halloween.  They are loving their candy even more!

Visit with Ella and Reese

We've been so busy with the new house that we haven't kept up with the kids' blog very well.  In October, Ella & Reese came to visit for the weekend.  Here are some pics of the kids.  It's so fun to see how much they love each other even though they don't get to see each other very often.

Swim Lessons 2012

We have the kids in swim lessons again this summer.  They are having such a blast, but especially Evan.  He really has come out of his shell this summer and is gaining confidence in the water.  They both can swim independently with a pool noodle.  And both are great a jumping into the water!

Hike!

We took the kids on a "hike" which was really walking on a flat cement trail. It was a blast! Evan loved being able to run ahead and collect leaves. Along the trail is a park so Ken called it the "Secret Park." They both loved playing at the park and then we headed back home after that.

2012 So Far

We're a bit behind with pictures in 2012. We have spent most of our time trying to slow life down and not be as busy. So we haven't done much to take pictures of, but here are a few events. In January, we went to Liam Estrada's birthday. Most recently, we got together with the Morris clan in Rancho Mirage for the day. The best part (besides just talking with Molly) was when Evan called Ella his "best friend" and Ella called Evan her "best buddy." So wonderful!!!
