Potty Training Update
Well, after our perfect day with no accidents, the next two days were filled with multiple accidents. Then I went back to work and we decided that it just wasn't time to continue with the training. Ultimately, he just isn't ready. And I've comes to terms with the fact that he just might still be in diapers when the next baby comes along. We'll just wait for him to be ready!

Potty Training Day 4
Today was a weird day. Starting with last night, Evan wouldn't go to bed until 10:30! 3 hours past bedtime! He was wired and must have know it was New Year's! And he's learned a trick that if he says, "poo-poo" mommy and daddy come and get him out of bed! Boy, he's already using that one! So we went to bed late and then he woke up around 5:30am (way too early). I stayed up with him while Ken went back to sleep (I knew I wouldn't be able to sleep anymore). So the really good news is that his underwear was DRY in the morning! Yeah! However, the late night, early morning, and pregnancy tiredness are not a good combination. I was quite the tired, emotional mother today. Since it was day 4 we let off of potty training a little too much in the morning. He had quite a few accidents which was really frustrating. Then Ken and I calmed down, reread parts of the book that we're following and started the day again. Everything went better from there. We encouraged him to keep his underwear dry and had him check it about every 10 minutes. He only had one accident after that and that was while eating dinner where a little pee came out, but he finished on the potty. So, after 4 days, he's really learned how to hold his bladder, but he still hasn't learned how to tell us when he needs to go. Either that or he just chooses not to because he doesn't want to stop whatever he's doing. I lean more towards the second reason. But the night ended on a positive note. He was playing with us. He stopped and said something about needing to go potty and Ken took him where he completed his business. We pray that he got enough out to make it through the night dry. And we pray that he stays asleep...or learns to cry in bed because we aren't going to keep taking him out of bed tonight. We have a birthday to celebrate tomorrow! And we also pray that he keeps his underwear dry during the party tomorrow!!!
